A literal treasure trove of goodies from one of the absolute premier names in Carolina Beach Music. This handsomely designed package sports 28 groovin’ tracks from the band’s formative years and documents the most soulful era of their great career. Musical highlights include the band’s big 1969 smash “Far Away Places” and the Northern Soul megahit “Watch Out Girl”. The greatest treat for collectors, however, will be the 5 unreleased gems recorded in 1967 and intended for release as part of an ill-fated LP entitled “Lucky 13”. All 5 tracks are in luxurious true stereo, and feature some of the most stellar performances of Jackie Gore’s vocal career. All in all, the package contains 22 jewels that have never been issued on compact disc, a MUST for all Embers fans and collectors.
